What are you afraid of?

When it comes to business and success, your fear may look very different from mine. It’s important to identify your fear so you can crumple it up like a piece of paper and throw it away. Or better yet, turn it into a beautiful piece of origami and display it on your desk as a reminder of how you learned to live with your fear. I like to say it’s better to define your fear than let your fear define you.

You won't know…unless you go!

Then one day after a particularly harrowing set, an old guy saddled up beside me and said…”Girlie! you won’t know…unless you go!”

And I whined back, like a pouty teenager, “I do want to go! I really, really wanted that wave!”

“Not what it looked like from here -I’ve been watching you for an hour…you could have had ALL of those waves but you pull back at the last second instead of digging deeper. You’re scared.”
